We zijn al weer een tijdje terug en hebben een geweldige vakantie in Tanzania achter de rug. En we zijn nog zeer druk doende met het verwerken van duizenden foto's en uren video. Een paar ervan hebben we al eerder op het web gezet voor Salim. Ik weet niet of hij het aan jullie heeft doorgegeven want we hebben nog geen reactie terug gehoord van hem. Het zijn wat foto's van het kamp en de staf en het valt allemaal te zien op www.photo-forever.tk
We waren overigens erg tevreden over zowel Salim als de rest van de staf tijdens de camping.
Ondertussen blikken we al weer voorzichtig uit naar volgend jaar en denken aan bv een luxury camping in het Westen van de Serengeti in combinatie met een streek waar we dit jaar niet waren. Valt dat te combineren met bv Amboseli of Tsavo West ?
Misschien kunnen jullie vast wat suggesties doen ?

Wij zijn terug in België sinds vorige week donderdag 18 sept. Wij hebben
een fantastische reiservaring van 3 weken achter de rug met enkel
hoogtepunten.
Wij houden eraan U ten zeerste te bedanken voor de vlekkeloze organisatie
en uw bijdrage tot het welslagen van ons avontuur.
Wij houden enkel de beste herinneringen over aan de 3-daagse safari en de
klim van de Kili (allemaal boven geraakt !).
Kalingi's is zeer goed meegevallen (Stonetown, Spice Tour), evenals de 3
dagen Sunrise - zeer aan te bevelen, vooral de keuken !
Wij zullen niet nalaten U warm aan te bevelen aan eventuele

That is really a great place to go to.We spent 1 week on a safari trip in Lac Manyara, N'Gorongoro, Serengeti (3 days) in campsites during nights. Adam and Fuaraha (sorry for the possible mistake in the name..) were so kind to us. I strongly recommend them. We saw thousands of animals, of all kinds. Do not hesitate to go a bit far, were the others do not (we saw a lion hunting a baboon!).Try to get up very early to benefit of the good sunlight for the pictures !After that, we travelled to Zanzibar, for about 10 days. A very pleasant destination. In Stone Town, try to have diners on the port, were there are plenty of people at night, and do not hesitate to walk in the very tight streets, and to go the the markets.After that, we went for a tour of the island : Kizimkazi, Uroa, Nungwi. Very nice beaches on the east and north.For the Jozani forest, maybe the guide will try to do the very minimum.. insist for doing the big tour !Take your time in each place, for you can enjoy it the best.Take care of the return from Zanzibar, which can be very very long.. We went back through Nairobi (much cheaper) but it took us about 26 hours to go back to France... Do not hesitate to have your flights confirmed asap, because it can change and you can waist so much time in the airports..All the people in the JMT team are nice and trustable. You can ask for the options you want, they are flexible.Anyway, have a good time in Tanzania !

Ce fut un plaisir de voyager avec Hassan et John (autant pour leur bonne humeur que pour leur connaissance de la faune africaine) et de découvrir ainsi ce pays accueillant qu’est la Tanzanie. Mention spéciale au Bamakambi Safari Lodge (à Arusha) pour la qualité de leur accueil et pour avoir vraiment tout fait pour nous offrir un séjour agréable.Chaque étape du voyage valait le déplacement :- le parc d’Arusha pour ses girafes, ses singes et ses flamands (un très bon plan pour débuter un séjour)- le parc de Manyara pour son cadre et nos premiers lions.- le cratère du N’gorongoro pour la variété et la densité de sa faune… et pour son ambiance extra-ordinaire.- le Sérengeti et ses étendues sauvages (camping inoubliable à Lobo)- le lac Natron pour son isolement et les baignades dans les waterfalls.- la région de Longido pour se défouler un peu (ascension du Mt Longido) et faire plus ample connaissance avec les populations masaïs.Seules les liaisons en 4x4 Lobo-Natron et Natron-Mto Wa Mbu furent un peu pénibles en raison du mauvais état des pistes. C’est le prix à payer pour sortir des sentiers battus !Sinon, tentes spacieuses et nourriture de bonne qualité. En bref : très bien.Roland GranottierSeynod - Francergranottier@hotmail.com

Wrote... It's been a year since i went up Kilimanjaro, and froze my butt off at the top. But you CANNOT forget. I keep remembering it as the greatest endeavour i threw myself at, and it was made possible by JMT. One of the cheapest of the official TATO and Tanapa operators, everyone you deal with is friendly and cooporative.
At least, thats what i found.
Just check whenever you travel or trek with JMT, the guides are just as nature preserving as you are, and dont throw any trash on parc ground or anywhere. Thats my only critical remark....
But i cant wait to travel Eastern Africa again, Zanzibar this time, and some parcs, and will do so with JMT.

Weer terug in Nederland wil ik jullie bedanken voor de goede organisatie van onze tocht naar het Mikumi nat park. We waren ook zeer onder de indruk van de gids en driver Salim. Hij heeft uitermate goed gereden zeker ook nadat het van zaterdag op zondag zeer drassig was geworden. Verder heeft hij veel verteld over de dieren en hun leven in Tanzania. We konden echt merken dat hij een natuurliefhebber was en dat ook over kon brengen op ons, zijn gasten. Mochten we nog eens in de gelegenheid om Tanzania aan te doen dan zullen we alles proberen om weer bij u een tocht te laten organiseren.

That was main goal for hole trip.Perhaps some small remarks to make you do even better next time is tell the climing assistants that if they don’t like their salary -> change work. Oversized claims about tipping money don’t live good feeling otherwise excellent climing.HAD A GREAT SAFARI in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Hasan, our guide! You can see he enjoys to work with the wildlife and inspire everyting what he do. Good game viewing. Zanzibar and swimming along with dolphins was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Looking back on the whole journey we can say we had a wonderful trip thanks to JMT. Of course we will recommended JMT to everyone here in The Finland and I’m sure that we come to Africa again.

Additional Comments : We found JMT to be a
very "user friendly" tour company and would happily
recommend them to our friends. The safari provided
was exactly what was offered and our driver/guide was
as knowlegable as one could wish. We changed hotels
for our return day to Arusha and on arrival everything
was arranged exactly as we requested. No complaints at
all and thanks to your service we were able to enjoy a
wonderful three days in Africa. If we ever come back
we will definately go with JMT.
