Ol Doinyo Lengai


The Ol Doinyo Lengai is a still active volcano of 2878m above sea level. Geysers, steam and black liquid lava is seen most of the time. Its name is derived from the "Enkai", which means "God" in Masai language. It is the mountain where God resides. The volcano can be climbed in about 6 hours. Its slopes however are very steep.
